SOME OF OUR PRIVATE LESSON TEACHERS INCLUDE:

Brad Ward
Guitar

Brad has over 15 years experience playing guitar with a predominantly rock background. He will teach you music theory in conjunction with learning to play songs of your choice as well as good practice habits that will help you get to the next level in your playing. During the summer of 2010 Brad studied under Tobias Hurwitz at the National Guitar Workshop and has also begun studying some other genres to broaden his horizons. 

Daphne Nichols
Piano Teacher

Daphne graduated in 2009 from Salem College with a B.M. in Piano Performance after studies at the Walnut Hill School and Northwestern University. She has been teaching piano professionally in Winston-Salem for two years and is a member of the Music Teachers’ National Association, the Winston-Salem Piano Teachers’ Association, and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. In 2010, her students received grades of Excellent and Superior at the National Guild Auditions held in Winston-Salem. Ms. Nichols believes that all learning at the piano depends on a mastery of the fundamentals of technique, musical expression, and music theory. She is especially interested in early technical training, and holds a Certificate in Injury Preventive Technique from Salem College. She believes that every student should experience the privilege of being able to learn the language of music!

Erinn Diaz
Acting, Auditioning & Tap Dance

Erinn has performed in over 200 plays nationwide and several movies.  A director, singer, dancer, choreographer and performer, Erinn has played a variety of roles in the theatre and now loves helping others tune their craft.  With private acting lessons, Erinn can customize lessons to make the perfect audition piece, perform a monologue, work on cold reading skills and scenes.

Maggie Gallagher
Voice and Piano Teacher

Maggie Gallagher is an actress, singer and music director. She has performed in several productions nationwide and locally, and has music directed for Twin City Stage, The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, High Point Theatre and many more. Maggie taught music and drama in Guilford County for 30 years before becoming a freelance teacher.

Erik Dobell
Magic and Mentalism Teacher

Erik Dobell can read minds...at least that's what Skirt Magazine, Yes! Weekly, and The Greensboro News and Record say. Since 2007, Erik Dobell has been baffling audiences all over the country including Lees McRae College, RJ Reynolds High School, UNCG, and companies such as Macy's and the NFL with a unique performance of magic and mind reading. Although Erik claims no paranormal ability, he's also quick to point out that you shouldn't believe everything he tells you. 

Charles F Kerner
Magician

Charles Kerner has been a member of the Society of American Magicians since 1974 and an avid card conjurer for over 40 years. Having performed at Korner’s Folly, the Grandover Resort and a multitude of private clubs, restaurants and homes, Charles is now offering private lessons to pass along the craft of ‘card manipulation’ to others. Much of what is taught was first used at the gambling table and migrated to the magician’s bag of tricks and vice versa.

In these lessons Charles will teach you card tricks that may be performed anywhere, at any time, under any circumstances, for any company, and using any pack of cards. You will not need "trick" packs of cards, nor special cards, nor expensive accessories. This is most important, for it means that no matter where you may be, you need only borrow a deck of cards when called upon to entertain; the ability to amuse and interest will be literally at your finger tips.
